Key Infrastructure : The department has unique experimental Cardio-Pulmonary Exercise testing laboratory. Novel instruments are used during clinical trial for efficacy assessment:
- Impedance Cardiography (ICG) which measure heamodynamics parameters on the basis of bio-impedance. It is non-invasive effective medical diagnostic equipment
- Oxygen to See (O2C) – Measure mainly Oxygen saturation, blood flow, blood flow velocity and amount of haemoglobin at arteriole-venous capillary juncture non-invasively
- Metabolic Cart (Innocor) – Useful tool for Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing
- Medgem – Handy instrument which is valuable tool to measure REE (Resting Energy Expenditure) by indirect calorimetry principle
- Sensewear armband – Especially design portable device to measure TEE (Total Energy Expenditure)
- Pulse Trace PCA2 – measures Arterial Stiffness, Endothelial Function and Vascular Tone
