Brazil: Torrent aims to penetrate the Latin American market with Brazil as the beachhead. Starting off in September 2002, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Torrent do Brasil Ltda. (TDBL), with a current investment of over US $ 7 million, has quickly picked up pace. The Company has already launched 19 products in the cardiovascular (CVS), central nervous system (CNS) and Oral Anti Diabetic segments.

These products are promoted to the doctors by a dedicated field force of more than 260 people. With the recent launch of its products in the North & North Eastern states of the country, TDBL now covers the entire geographical expanse of this vast & lucrative pharmaceutical market of Brazil through its network of over 200 distributors and pharmacy chains.
